Bench Desks

Clean lines and space efficiency.

Bench desking is the style of the moment which reflects current work practices and the need for a clean looking, space efficient system that allows for complete flexibility.

Bench desk systems have evolved from our beam desks where the strength of the system lies completely in the metal underframe. This lends itself to linked bench desk systems where the beam is merely extended to accommodate additional positions. Apart from the flexibility that the bench desking systems offer, they provide an open and uncluttered look. The number of intermediary legs is minimised to give you clean simple lines. The tops which do not have to contribute to the integral strength of the system, can be an extended length and be of a slim profile.

Our bench desk systems can offer you a single line of desking as well as a double line of back-to-back work positions. With the back-to-back bench desk option a single leg frame will span both desks increasing the very open look. A central cable tray will bring power and data to each bench desk position and for increased flexibility desk or screen mounted outlets can be specified. For those using laptops and PDAs this can make plugging in a whole lot simpler.

Though it is not obligatory our bench desk systems are complemented with a central line of low level screens. Though the screens may be largely territorial divides, they do offer some level of privacy and the screen tool rails can be used to support monitor arms and a whole range of stationery accessories. If you are planning to reduce the individual work position footprint with bench desking, it is important to maximise the available worktop area.

Our bench desk systems invariably have corresponding stand-alone desks so that individual management offices can be tied in with the corporate style. A full range of storage options incorporating all filing and storage choices completes the picture.
